Why Use A Travel Agent
I have had the opportunity to work with a few different travel agents over the past few years. I have come to respect what the offers from a service standpoint and I believe travel agents offer several great benefits. Travel agents are a viable resource to all future travelers.
I have compiled a list of some reasons you should consider using a travel agent. I am sure I have missed some, but I would love to have the list lengthened in the comment section.
- Real Person – I don’t think I can reiterate this point enough. Travel agents love a loyal customer base. They will work hard to make your vacation perfect. Personal service is a must in the travel agent business and they will typically offer you plenty of great assistance.
- Booking and Attraction Discounts – Some travel agents can book accommodations and offer attractions at a discounted rate. They also might be able to gather local coupons.
- Save Money – A good travel agent has probably built a strong relationship within their vacation destination. Allowing the travel agent to handle everything (similar to a bulk pricing feature) they should be able to get you better prices. Plus, they will know who to call and when to find those extra deals.
- Convenience – Planning a vacation can be very stressful and tiring. Bookings accommodations, reserving flights, and planning activities can all be very time consuming. Essentially, you should be able to speak with a travel agent a few times and they should handle the rest. This should save several hours of planning.
- An Extra Advocate – In the event that something goes wrong you will have an extra advocate on your side. They will be able to help solve some problems and get your vacation back on track. No one can guarantee a perfect vacation, but using a travel agent should help add peace.
- Special Airline Rates – Some airlines offer special rates for booking through a travel agent.
- Great Information – Travel agents will be able to offer great, unbiased information. This will help you spend your money more wisely.
