Advice For Businesses | Advice For Consumers
From occasionally answering phones to previewing vacation software to purchasing marketing proposals to moving furniture (if I never have to pick up a sofa again life will be good), I feel as though I have had my hands in all aspect of the vacation rental industry…that is till tomorrow and a new set of issues arise. Just like any other business, you never know how it operates on a day to day basis till you actually get your hands dirty.
Despite the fact our work is located in a vacation destination or resort, everyday life is so totally different than walking on the beach or taking family photos. Because of the uniqueness of this industry I feel somewhat obligated to pass on some ever important knowledge. Taking and participating in family vacation is needed, more so than considered being luxury. Now, I don’t claim to have all the right answers, but it never hurts putting a second set of eyes on some issues.
Most of the travel tips and vacation advice articles listed below are born from years of answering travelers questions, reading blog updates or networking with other vacation rental companies. The travel advice tips will be listed in two separate categories–articles for business owners and articles for consumer travelers.
One thing I would like to encourage, especially for the help of others, is the asking of questions. Most will be posted and answered below. Not sure I will answer the questions with extreme profoundness, but I would at least like the opportunity.
