Dinner Time
While this is not your normal Mommy Monday post it will still fall under this type of category for two reasons. This post is being written on Monday and it happens to be about a wonderful mom. Plus, as the owner and creator of this website I reserve the right to publish my posts in any categories I so desire. So, on to Mommy Monday we will go.
Short, sweet, and to the point are a few phrases that describe my wife’s cooking. Though my wife comes from a great line of cooks (Grandma Hubbard and her own mother), she doesn’t exactly love to baste, dice, or puree anything. She would rather spend some time shopping or buying me some new clothes.
Now, to the point of the post. My wife will cook for three reasons. Little dude, myself, and the wonderful dinner time conversations we have as a family. So, out of appreciation for my wife and to encourage her to continue cooking I am going to list my top five favorite meals (wow, this is short).
- Grilled Cheese and Chicken Noodle Soup – My wife makes the best grilled cheese. She could open a shop and sell only grilled cheese.
- Spaghetti with a side of Green Eyes (Black Eyed Peas) – When my wife cooks spaghetti she will cook enough for me to eat leftovers for three days.
- Chili Mac – This is a unique mixture of chili and spaghetti noodles. Very close to my favorite meal behind spaghetti.
- Chicken Casserole
- Taco Soup
*UPDATE* As of today I have successfully failed all 2010 Resolutions except numbers 3, 7, 12, 13, 14, and 16.
