11 Reasons I Love My Wife
What a great week to start Mommy Monday. Each Monday I will be paying tribute to my unbelievable wife. I will discuss something wonderful that my wife has done that week. With Thanksgiving this Thursday I decided to write why I am thankful for my wife.
- She pursued me…hard! – She liked me, and she was not afraid to tell me. It made the awkward game of dating so much easier. I am not quite sure why she liked me so much, but I didn’t feel nervous asking her out. Well, after she asked me out first it was very easy asking her out for our second date. Lucky for me things have not changed much.
- She lets me think I am in control. – How in the world do I do what she wants while her making me think it is my idea? It never fails,we always do what she wants, and I am OK with it. Some might wonder how this reason is one of the 11 that I my wife. The problem is if I disagree I would be disagreeing with my decision making skills while relinquishing complete control to her!?!?
- She laughs at my jokes. – I believe I’m funny, but it feels so much better to have someone else laugh at your jokes. She always steps up to the challenge regardless of how awkward the moment might be.
- She believes I can do anything. – Regardless of how many times I screw up something my wife always thinks that I can fix it or rebound from it.
- She tells me I’m hot when I dress up. – It never fails. As soon as I finish getting dressed she looks at me with her beautiful green eyes and says, “Baby, you look hot!”
- She is a great Tetris player. – When we were in college I watched, with amazement, as she beat several of my guy friends. Did I say beat…I mean destroy.
- She makes me dinner. – It’s good, too.
- She listens when I get on my Soap Box. – She listens intently as if I am preaching to thousands about finances or religion. The best part…she will occasionally ask questions like she was actually listening or something.
- She thinks I am the best Flag Football player ever. – On a very serious note I have given her several things to cheer about.
- She gets up with Champ at night. – She unselfishly awakens to attend to the baby’s needs. I will occasionally rise when she needs me, but 95% of the time she gets up to make the 5:00 a.m. bottle. I am quite certain she would do this forever, but he is about ready to sleep through the night.
- Altogether the greatest mom ever. – She is patient, kind, loving, gentle, and calm. The joy in my sons face when he sees his mom speaks for itself.

not sure if I should go there or not, but I thought her eyes were blue?
Luckily, they are green. Sometimes it depends on the clothes she is wearing. I only know this because a few weeks ago I asked her about her eye color.
